Boo Voyage Reminiscing

Starting the evening with an incredible rainbow over the harbor, we gazed at the divine sign: this funeral was properly timed. People we’ve previously had the blessing of witnessing in this space poured through the door in their funeral wear and had us gasping and aweing with their delightful details.

Exceptionally enticing aesthetic appetizers from Jules of Salmonberry were the star of the back corner of the gallery. The pumpkin, pear, whiskey cocktail opened our hearts to sharing coos and sweet boos during the eulogy. Watching the tears fall down Nate’s face while speakers blessed us with their inner world of emotions about Waterworks touched our hearts.

Then, after passing through a cloud of smudging smoke, we held our iconic orange chairs in hand outside the gallery. With a final bellowing confirmation and some strums of musical sorcery from Trinity, we were off on the walk that flooded First street with orange and black. Our arts community took up the street in honor of what we have devoted time harboring safe space for: the continuation of our evolution in this new form. Guests brought the spirit, symbolized through the chair, into 30 First Street, IVLC Headquarters, while being blessed with delicate piano playing by Webster.

Soon after arriving in the new space, spinning songs, sparkly wine, and savory socialization simmered. For the Record Duo, Chris and Eddie kept the celebration of life vibes high. Salmonberry blessed us once more with a larger spread that dazzled delectably in the incredible lighting from Miked Up Productions. Gyrations and giggles seeped into the walls decorated with art from Pablo and Navarro (available for purchase–send us an email if you're interested!) after we enjoyed a Rosé Piquette provided by our new neighbors, Madrone Cellars. An enormous thank you to everyone who was able to attend!
